OVERVIEW
Quadriceps Tendon Rupture
The injury can be caused by forceful kicking, traumatic impacts to the tendon or even a fall. The symptoms include severe quadriceps weakness (which makes it difficult to climb/descend stairs), pain, bruising, just above the kneecap and inability to move. Surgery is required.
